Taken far FAR longer than it should have done due to tablet issues but the reference sheet is done. God the anatomy is awful, I need to SERIOUSLY work on it. But at least now there's something I can throw at people who ask. Feel free to ask questions on any of the badly photoshopped text info :)

Part of a reference sheet I'm working on. But they look bloody good so why not have them separate. There is a reason the Jackdaw is more washed out (Isn't an albino, well it coulda been, no idea) and the left is a male European Kestrel :) The Jackdaw was done yesterday.

Today has been pretty... hellish. I'm also down a mouse so using my tablet which is wierd. Was installing OpenCanvas, tablet drivers etc etc onto the laptop for the holiday on Saturday and seeing as I needed the serial key I plonked the laptop on my chair and was nigh on constantly switching the tablet between this and the laptop. When it was all installed though, decided to check the tablet and Open was working and got this. Course I forgot to set transparency and I was sitting on the floor while leaning up to my chair for this. Still it's very cute despite the dark laptop has made it be a bit washed out :)

I don't normally show these but this one came out all right. Every so often I try and doodle a critter without any ref then compare to the actual critter to see how much I'm retaining memory wise, since, after all very easy to style something but doens't mean there's really a basis under the scribble. I'm dreadful for rabbit ears (Mean people frequently mistake the Notalope's ears for horns) but this is slightly better than normally. If nothing else it's good fun to do :)

Grey actually came in here for a change and was able to do a couple of her too. Fluffy is top left (Her uncle and has magically turned into a lion) while Grey is bottom left and the tall right one.

I make no lie that that was rushed fairly badly due to time contraints and my tablet throwing another of it's fits (Pressure sensivity cacking out and resetting tools every so often) and is nothing like my original idea. The t-rex looks nifty I'll give it that.

Notalope Reference by Feather Dancer

Lope. Lope. Lope. This is the fully up to date Notalope however, there is normally stripes going to just above the knee joint on the back leg but I'm sure we can spare me some suffering for the time being. Yes they are rabbit ears and antlers, it is a realative of the Jackalope twice removed and replaced with a watermelon after all some heritage is still in there :D There was a few parts that has taken me an age (The reason it's so sketchy is because it was supposed to be a fast colour thing but no I had to get the anatomy workable didn't I...), namely meshing the wing, collar bone and shoulder correctly which is a heavy mix of Giraffe, Boar and bird currently. Another was the middle section for some mysterious reason. However the hardest was the colours, it has never occured to me a single time what colour a lope is, hopefully these suffice.

I was trying to explain how layers work to my mother (She does just photography whereas I do both) so I did a quick scribble and it turned into a Toucan! Simply adorable but I screwed up the layers so any background colour... Oh boy it'd be the painful way. I may colour in the future but for now, its cuteness will just huff.

I usually don't do anything special for Halloween and guess this year is no different. However on looking for the Toucan sketch I'll upload momentarily, found this I did back on holiday of Khan meh Nightmare/Barrow mix :) No reference as we had no net there but it certainly has a charm to it.
